Pullbraided Tubing

  • This carbon fiber tube is a blend of pultrusion and the new, rarely seen, pullbraiding process. The tubing is made up of TORAYCA® T700 carbon fiber (or equivalent), and the braiding is targeted at the surface as well as in the core. The speed of the braiding machine and the pultrusion speed keep the braiding degree at +/-45 degrees and keeps the fibers interlocked, which gives the pullbraided tubing a high bend and twisting stiffness. Pullbraided tubes are great for aircraft frames, camera tripods, trusses, paddles, fishing rods, ski and trekking poles, and more.

  • Quick Facts For Pullbraided Carbon Fiber Tubing

    Fiber: TORAYCA® T700 (or equivalent)

    Resin: Epoxy Resin

    Tolerances: +/-0.002" (0.05mm)

    Density: 1.65g/cm3

    Stiffness: 80-120 Gpa

    Tensile Strength: 650 Mpa

    Operating Temperature: -40F to 248F

  • Stiffness Performance

Pulll-braided tubes are stiff. Generally speaking, pull-braided tubing with matching diameters to some generic standard modulus CF tubes will outperform in stiffness and ultimate failure by about 20%.
